When it comes to Italian food in New York, pizza dominates the conversation. And while we are a pizza town at heart, the pasta here has also long been indisputably the best outside of Italy—and decades of Italian New Yorkers crafting homemade red sauce classics, combined with chefs’ never-ending need for innovation, leaves us with the most delicious and diverse pasta options we’ve ever seen.
My latest Thrillist article details the the best pasta dishes in New York City—from a bucket list-worthy lasagna better than your mom’s to a chicken liver signature from one of the city’s star chefs. Check out the full article here. Then mangia to your heart’s content.
In the past year, thousands of restaurants opened in America—and Bon Appétit scoured the country in a coast-to-coast search to find their favorites. Drumroll, please… America’s Best New Restaurants of 2015 have just been revealed. And if this list doesn’t make your mouth water, I don’t know what will.
The top 10 range from high-end city hot spots to casual Southern charmers, but the one thing they have in common is “that certain inexplicable feeling that one gets when dining out,” explains Bon Appétit Restaurant and Drinks Editor Andrew Knowlton. Really, it’s all about the entire experience—food, drinks, service, ambiance, and every delicious detail in between. Check out the full list of breakout spots here (including straight-off-the-menu recipes!) then start planning on your next culinary adventure. #BAhot10

Nobody puts the funny into food better than Jimmy Fallon. Back in March 2011, The Daily Meal crowned him “Late Night’s Culinary King,” and since then, the comedian continues to up the epicurean ante.
During his Late Night career, the hilarious host has invited countless culinarians and industry celebs to cook, mix cocktails, and promote their latest projects on his show. From whipping up dishes with culinary heavy hitters including Mario Batali, Giada de Laurentiis, and Bobby Flay; to hosting fierce Fried Chicken Battles, Martini Races, and Burger Cook-Offs, the funnyman has delivered highly-entertaining food moments to viewers, week after week.
My latest piece on The Daily Meal honors Jimmy’s Late Night reign with a collection of 20 culinary clips. Check out Fallon’s funniest food-focused moments here.
